Yes, and that's the gap I usually fill. I own the full cycle: requirement gathering, system architecture, development, deployment, and user training. Both. On the web side I work across React, Next.js, Laravel, and ASP.NET Core for full-stack delivery. For mobile I build cross-platform applications in React Native with REST API backends I design myself. I've also built Progressive Web Apps for teams that need mobile-grade usability without a native app.

Do you work with international clients, or only Sri Lanka-based companies?

I work with clients globally. I've delivered production systems for Canadian clients through WebRubix IT Consulting and regularly work with international organizations and startups alongside local government and enterprise clients. Remote-first collaboration is standard for me: async workflows, clear documentation, and structured check-ins across time zones.

We have a small dev team. Can you lead them, or are you purely an individual contributor?

I can do both, and I've done both at the same time. At Upali Group I manage a developer team for the kandos.lk platform while staying hands-on in architecture and implementation. That includes setting standards, reviewing code, mentoring juniors, and still helping move the product forward directly.

Our project involves a government client with strict compliance and procurement requirements. Is that something you've navigated before?

Accepted Answer

Yes. At Procons Infotech I built and delivered multiple systems for government-sector clients under procurement constraints, handled user training, and worked within acceptance criteria common in regulated public-sector delivery. I understand the governance overhead and plan for it from the beginning.

What kind of systems have you actually shipped, not just contributed to?

Enterprise ERP systems for multi-company groups, multi-vendor SaaS platforms on AWS, government-sector web applications, kandos.lk e-commerce delivery, internal HR and communication platforms, and full-stack mobile applications in React Native. In many of these, I owned the work from architecture through deployment rather than contributing a small slice.

We already have a legacy system. Can you modernize it without burning everything down?

Accepted Answer

Yes. I approach modernization with phased migration strategies such as strangler patterns, bridge layers, and incremental refactors so the existing system can keep running while critical pieces are replaced. The goal is to protect business continuity while improving the foundation. I've handled this across .NET, Laravel, and mixed-stack environments.
